Thanksgiving came and went without effort or issue. It was the first week-end I didn't have to paint, clean out the garage, move furniture or do something major in about six months. That's probably an exaggeration, but not by much. I did have a plumbing emergency which has me home this morning rather than on my way to work, but that's just part of the charm of being a homeowner.
I'm now ready for the week-long visit of my best friend from Alaska, Jim Kaiser. He gets to help me put up the Christmas tree next week-end. We'll spend next week-end picking out the tree, putting up the lights, baking cookies, and drinking hot chocolate.
I haven't felt much like blogging these past couple of weeks. I think I'm experiencing some low-grade depression. With as much grief as is being visited on the GOPers and their idiot savant in charge of the country, I should be manic, but alas and alack, I feel nothing. That bunch of crooks are still in control of the country. They're still stealing, killing, and wrecking havoc with our Constitution. Frankly, I don't see how any sentient being cannot be but a little depressed.
Oh well. I hope your holiday was blessed and peaceful.
